I was born in 1941, and monastic life is a second vocation for me. I entered the monastery after many years in secular life. I have been married and have one son. I thought as a teenager I might have a vocation, but never really went for it. I entered the monastery in 1986. I served many years as kitchen master and was also manager of the bookstore. Currently I help in the kitchen and not he grounds. I like the balance of work, prayer and leisure. Most of my leisure time I spend with chickens which I am breeding for show. They help me realize that all of us are God's creatures and that we should be sensitive to the needs of our brothers and sisters and all God's creatures.
